Tahitian vanilla comes from a cross between Vanilla planifolia and Vanilla odorata. These two species differ in appearance and taste. The result of the cross between the two produces a vanilla variant with a floral, fruity, sweet and mild soft flavor profile with a higher oil and water content. The vanillin level tends to be low but in luxury grade the vanillin level is still quite high. In addition, Tahitian Vanilla Beans Luxury has a shorter, wider, and flatter characteristic. In addition, this vanilla has a length of 13-16 cm, moisture 30-35% (very juicy and oily), the level of vanillin is 1.5% which means it is quite high with an indication that the vanilla is really ripe when picked. .
