Used to treat infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to amoxicillin



Content / Composition

Each 5 mL of syrup contains amoxicillin trihydrate 125 mg



Dosage

DIRECTIONS FOR USE MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. 1. Dental abscess: Adults are given 3 grams, repeat administration once after 8 hours. 2. Urinary tract infection: Dose 3 grams, repeat administration once after 10-12 hours. 3. Gonorrhea: 3 grams in a single dose with probenecid 1 gram. 4. Infection due to H. Pylori: Adults are given 750 mg or 1000 mg 2 times a day or 500 mg 3 times a day in combination with metronidazole or clarithromycin and Proton Pump Inhibitors. 5. Respiratory tract infections: 3 grams, 2 times a day. 6. Actinomycosis, biliary tract infections, bronchitis, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, gonorrhea, oral infections, otitis media, pneumonia, typhoid fever, urinary tract infections: Adults are given 250-500 mg every 8 hours or 500-875 mg every 12 hours. Children <40 kg are given 40-90 mg/kg BW 2-3 times a day. 7. Prevention of endocarditis: Adults are given 2 or 3 grams in a single dose 1 hour before surgery. Children are given 50 mg/kg in a single dose, use 1 hour before surgery. 8. Pharyngitis and tonsillitis: Given in the form of slow-release tablets 775 mg daily for 10 days.

Contraindications / Do not use by

Hypersensitivity or history of severe allergic reactions (eg, anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome) to amoxicillin or other β-lactams (eg, penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems, monobactams). Suspected or confirmed infectious mononucleosis.



Side Effects

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, erythematous maculopapular rashes (red rash on the skin), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, peeling skin, hypersensitivity vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels), urticaria (hives), increased AST and ALT, jaundice, crystalluria (crystals in the urine), anemia, thrombocytopenia purpura (decreased platelet levels), eosinophilia (increased white blood cells), leucopenia (decreased white blood cells), agranulocytosis (acute condition of leukopenia).



Special Precautions

This drug can cause bronchospasm (narrowing of the walls of the respiratory tract), in long-term use can cause hypokalemia, be careful when used in patients with cardiovascular disorders, hyperthyroidism patients, be careful in patients with diabetes mellitus
