Indonesian snake fruit is cultivated in Indonesia all-year-round and has a unique sweet and sour flavor with an acidic finish. The fruit is not only eaten fresh, but can also be canned, juiced, and even fermented to make wine.



Color: Ready-to-eat snakefruit have a yellowish dark brown skin color. The color of the flesh will be a light pale yellowish color with a very crunchy texture.



Taste: A ripe snakefruit has the taste of a slightly bitter but sweet and sour fruit. Although eaten raw, it is also used to make juice and wine.  



Aroma: Snakefruit does not have a specific aroma.



Storing Conditions: The product must be stored in an open counter where they can ripen properly at room temperature.  The fruit could be stored in cold temperatures which could increase its shelf life. This helps to slow down the oxidasing process



Shelf life: 4 weeks after put into the refrigerator, or 3 - 7 days when left to ripen in the pantry and 3 - 4 days after ripen, depending on the storing method.
