CV Mendong Jaya was founded in 1994 by Zainal Muttaqin, in Tasikmalaya. The initial goal of creating job opportunities for rural communities by maximizing existing skills, on weaving skills. In particular, weaving skills in Singkup District and its surroundings have become skills that passed from generation to generation. Weaving has become a community culture in spare time for additional income. The mendong mats are the final result of the weaving. Then the rug is sold to collectors for further sale in traditional markets or retail to homes. We have been consistently working in the hotel accessories, home decor and crafts fields for 27 years. With the same spirit to empower rural communities, reduce unemployment and develop mendong crafting. Our motto is empowering the community, preserving culture as a form of our determination to continue to develop and introduce the handicrafts of reliable craftsmen and weavers as well as regional agricultural products in order to improve quality of life and welfare in rural areas.
