WORKING MECHANISM:

• Sambiloto is effective as an anti-diabetic herbal medicine. This is because of the active substances contained in Sambiloto leaves, namely androgafulida and flavonoids which have the potential to increase incritin or stimulator of insulin hormone secretion in addition to stimulation that occurs after absorption of nutrients which causes an increase in blood sugar ratio.

• Papaya leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, tannins and steroids / triterpenoids. Papaya leaves can stimulate insulin activity in the body, so blood sugar levels can be properly regulated to reduce the risk of diabetes complications.

• Beluntas leaves contain flavonoids, phenolic compounds. alkaloids, tannins and essential oils. Diabetes can be treated with beluntas leaves in this case beluntas leaves as a substitute for insulin.
